What is Menopause?

Menopause is defined as the time when a woman's periods permanently cease, which is usually diagnosed retroactively when there has not been a period for one full year. In every day usage, the word menopause usually covers a number of years and refers to that time in a woman's life when the ovaries gradually stop producing the hormones estrogen and progesterone.

5. Have you experienced significant mood changes?	Yes	No
6. Have you experienced vaginal dryness?	Yes	No
7. Are you at risk of developing osteoporosis? [small-boned, smoker, diet low in calcium, lack of exercise, high alcohol consumption, family history]	Yes	No
